Synopsis:

The Next Stage adult company is celebrating its 15th Birthday with a Champagne Cabaret in the Theatre Upstairs 1st – 3rd October at 7.30pm. The audience will be treated to an evening of monologues, sketches and play extracts to showcase the many talents Next Stage has to offer. This is a unique event, where there’s sure to be something to delight every theatre goer. A delicious dinner complements hilarious scenes from Bennett, Ayckbourn, Victoria Wood and others, whilst the versatility and range for which Next Stage is renowned is demonstrated in extracts from Webster and Shakespeare. Joanna Bowman and Caroline Groom are not to be missed in a show-stopping scene from The Merry Wives of Windsor, Kay Francksen, Lesley Langley and Marion Wood are on top form with their witty and laughter-provoking monologues, Ian Garforth turns his hand to directing a searing extract from The Duchess of Malfi with Richard Matthews, Yvonne Paulley and Rosie Magee, and the second half of the evening contains the hilarious Gosforth's Fête starring Cara Aldous, Andrew Ellison, Jane Lawson, Mark Sanders and Nicky Wilkins.
